Toddler Boy Toys vs. Toddler Girl Toys?

As much as society is trying to eliminate gender stereotypes and schemas, I am surprised there are still such things as toddler boy toys. But still, the fact remains that boys do end up playing with toys that we usually don't see toddler girls playing with. Our male little ones usually enjoy playing with toys like monster trucks, toy race cars, action figures, and things like that. We don't see our little boys playing with doll houses or Barbies right? Well, we usually don't anyway. I always thought it shouldn't matter what kind of toys are toddler boys or girls play with. Isn't it too early to tell what sort of gender roles our young ones are going to play based on their toddler toys?
